I hate people who automatically assume that someone is wrong without even hearing their reasoning, just because they don't agree with their idea. In my opinion, people like this are the reason for the dark age being so dark, you know, Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, etc, I mean, the list is almost endless. but any way, if not for these people, the world would be a great deal safer. end of story.

I wonder, Why is it that almost EVERY person that wants to be a politician ends up being little more than a Hypocrite. I admit there were a few who were quite genuine. However the majority seem little more than glorified liars and thieves. And yet, we "THE PEOPLE" keep electing/REelecting these people, and then, whene we find out what they really are, we act all shocked and supprised like we didnt think this was going to happen! >= (

I just saw a commercial for Rick Perry, and it basically said that he, like most good leaders, was willing to talk about his faith. I agree with this. Any "Leader" who is ashamed to tell you what he believes, his bound to fail, horribly, and miserably.

I HATE people who encourage anarchy through different organizations. the very definition of anarchy would have all forms of organization destroyed. thus making these "anarchists" little more than glorified hypocrites. Furthermore, why would any one want anarchy in the first place? Not only is it impossible, given that humans will take any chance possibly to at least semi-organize their life, but also it would mean the entire collapse of modern society. meaning there would no longer be any cars, or other luxuries of modern day life.

One of modern society's quirks that all ways makes me laugh, is that lawmakers think that if some thing is illegal, people will do it less. The 1920's prohibition proves otherwise. In fact, if we were to legalize drug use, a substantial chunk of drug related crime would cease to exist. Granted there would still be drug related crimes, but it wouldn't be even half of what it is today.

Mr Ritchie

So, Today's guest speaker was Mr. Richie, who talked to us about traits of good leaders. One of the main reoccuring themes is that coach we had over the other week, the name of whom i have forgotten. however, he still had some good points, specifically about willpower, and no, I don't believe that any one of us could have that kind of will, atleast not at this stage in our lives.

People need to LISTEN!!!!!

Why do people insist on twisting others words, and then laughing about it? is it out of boredom? Or is it some way of making themselves feel better? I don't know, but its one of the most annoying aspects of modern day youth. It would seem that modern day "outcasts" are more in depth than all the "cool" kids. I'll admit Williamsburg doesn't have as much of this, but there are still those who would prove otherwise. It's almost sad how hollow those people are, that they would insult someone constantly, and then expect them to "friend" them on Facebook. This is a major problem in today's youths, and needs to be fixed!

Blogs.

You know, personally, I would be a lot more willing to do blogs if they didn't have any requirements. I dont just write stuff when i have to have it come out a certain way, just saying.

patience, grasshoppaw

I don"t like our surveys. the problem, is that a couple of the students decided to "joke" on the answers. this is obviously NOT helpful. It only hinders us, and isnt funny. however a leader would most likely be forced to endure this constantly. therefore, probably one of the most important skills, is PATIENCE. with out it a leader would fail faster than it took to become a leader. it is what prevents a leader from cracking under pressure.

I don't know what to post.

In my opinion, the most important requirement for a leader, is to know about who they are leading. For example,  Obama is under the impression that most of america's kids are "overweight." However, if you were to actually meet most of them, they are NOT. However, this is because, the governments standards are so obscure, that if you're 200, you're fat, even though muscle weighs more than fat. showing how poorly our current "leaders" really know us.

I HATE PEOPLE WHO CAN'T LISTEN.

one of my pet peeves, is when i'm talking to someone, I tell them something that cant possibly be misconstrued, and they manage to do just that, not only that, but when i explain this further, they still only hear what they want.
 >:-(  For instance, I have told people that "There's a 50 % chance that life is a computer program," what each and every one of them has heard, was "we all live in the matrix/video game." People need to learn to properly interpret other if they ever want to be a successful leader. People who don't anger me.

pursuit of happiness

so, in what weve seen of the movie so far, i think that one of the most thought provoking ideas, was the comment about Jefferson. i honestly believe that this one thought , the PURSUIT of happiness, could have even been a major reason, not only, for the creation of the declaration, but also for the war, and most of the revolutionary movements leading up to it, and following it.

BSA

one of the most annoying things about this school, is how few people are willing to support the Boy Scouts. Boy Scouts is a "youth run" organization. This means that the boys say what they want to do and then find a way to go do it. I have tried to recruit people in the past, and for the most part, the responses I have gotten have been mean at best. the worst, and apparently most common,  has involved the adults and the youths and illegal activities. I honestly dare those of you who are of this opinion to find even one example of this. however, given the lengths that the BSA goes to in order to prevent this, I highly doubt that there's even one. Another popular response was that "all of the fun parts I could just do here at home." While I am willing to accept this response, it's far from true. The more obvious activities (Camping, guns, etc) can be done at home, its not likely that you can go to Yellowstone, or other such places, at your home. Boy Scouts is an organization that makes leaders. In order to obtain Eagle, you have to have been in several leadership positions. And yes, getting to Eagle IS a good thing. if two equally qualified people apply for a job, and one is an Eagle Scout, then the Eagle Scout will get it every time. In the army, if your an Eagle, then the second you get out of boot camp, you will get a promotion, and a pay raise. so, yes, being an Eagle Scout IS a good thing. so is being a Boy Scout.

SPEECHS ARE EVIL! >:-)

I have never liked speeches. I understand that its required and all, but they still suck. What makes them so bad is that , for most classes, not only do you have to give it, but after that, you also have to show all your research, and your work cited, etc. and i am personally too lazy to do most of that. so yes, speeches are evil.

Jeremiah Jodeit

So, I keep finding my self using all this stuff in my every day life. mostly the parts about perception. and the funny thing is I am using these to help freinds more than to my own benifit.

so, no leadership today. :( sadness.
but anyway, I was thinking we should do those journals on here and pretty much go paperless. it would not only be easier, but also more efficient.

blog 1

so during class today we were going over the personality types, and I got to thinking, the same principle inflouences oure actual thought processes, meaning that, for example, if someone with a red personalitywere to be told that "there's a 50% chance that life is a computer program", they would laugh thinking that it was imposible. However someone with a white mind would hear the same statement, and would come to the conclusion that, the only way to tell is to get out of the program, but if it werent a program, you wouldnt be able to get out, unless it were programed to mimic reality down to the last blade of grass. therefore the logical thinker would conclude that there was no way to tell and thus believe this to be a parradox theory. a yellow mind on the other hand probably wouldnt care eather way.
