BSA

one of the most annoying things about this school, is how few people are willing to support the Boy Scouts. Boy Scouts is a "youth run" organization. This means that the boys say what they want to do and then find a way to go do it. I have tried to recruit people in the past, and for the most part, the responses I have gotten have been mean at best. the worst, and apparently most common,  has involved the adults and the youths and illegal activities. I honestly dare those of you who are of this opinion to find even one example of this. however, given the lengths that the BSA goes to in order to prevent this, I highly doubt that there's even one. Another popular response was that "all of the fun parts I could just do here at home." While I am willing to accept this response, it's far from true. The more obvious activities (Camping, guns, etc) can be done at home, its not likely that you can go to Yellowstone, or other such places, at your home. Boy Scouts is an organization that makes leaders. In order to obtain Eagle, you have to have been in several leadership positions. And yes, getting to Eagle IS a good thing. if two equally qualified people apply for a job, and one is an Eagle Scout, then the Eagle Scout will get it every time. In the army, if your an Eagle, then the second you get out of boot camp, you will get a promotion, and a pay raise. so, yes, being an Eagle Scout IS a good thing. so is being a Boy Scout.

SPEECHS ARE EVIL! >:-)

I have never liked speeches. I understand that its required and all, but they still suck. What makes them so bad is that , for most classes, not only do you have to give it, but after that, you also have to show all your research, and your work cited, etc. and i am personally too lazy to do most of that. so yes, speeches are evil.
